Mahamaya Temple

Mahamaya Dham or Mahamaya Temple is located in Bogribari in Kokrajhar. It is an important Shakti Peetha of Assam and considered to be as sacred as the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati. Animal sacrifice is practiced at the time of Durga Puja. The temple is known to be worshiped by the local landlords or Zamindars in the past residing in and around the region.
