This is a temple token, mostly struck at Varanasi, also known as Ramtanka (Rama coins). These temple tokens are token coins popular at temple and pilgrimage sites in India. They are made for religious pilgrims to carry for good luck, and for blessings from the gods. The coin depicts Rama's coronation on one side, and Rama-Lakshmana on the other side.
