This is a rounds-shaped shield made of thick rhino skin or hide. The inner side of the shield has a thick handle or straps for grip made of similar materials. It is a piece of personal armour held in the hand, occasionally strapped to the wrist or forearm. This armour is used to defend by intercepting specific attacks of weapons such as swords, arrows, spear etc. These are nowadays used while performing traditional dance or other ritualistic practices.
