Dokhona is traditional dress of the Bodo women which is one-piece garment. It is wrapped around a body in a unique style and has generous look of two-piece wear. A Dokhona covers the whole body from chest to the legs by wrapping one round at a time over the waist. A varieties of designs and colors are woven in Dokhona. It has vertical stripes in pink, green and yellow colour with the base colour of red. The stripes are further decorated with symmetrical zigzag and square patterns.
