It is a one-stringed musical instrument of violin type played with a bow. It is made of wood having a resonator covered with reptile skin. At the upper part of the Serja, a human face is sculpted. It is made of Ejar (Lagerstroemia speciosa) tree. The tuning is done by tightening or loosening the string. This musical instrument is used in most of the folk and prayer dances.
