Kham is a percussion instrument made of wood and parchment. It is a long drum, made of wooden casket body, covered with leather membrane on both sides and secured with rope. The Bodos refer to the Dhol or Madal as Kham. It is used in different dances and music, mainly ceremonial and religious purposes. This is played by mostly men hung at the neck and beaten with both hands.
