Thouse is a grinding tool used by the Bodo people. To prepare this object, a circular core is carved out from a tree trunk and by trimming its outer belly. A handle is attached for easy grip while pounding. This is particularly used for pounding beetle nut with leafs by the elderly persons. A cylindrical tool made of wood is used for pounding or ramming the substance to be grounded.
