A ladle is a type of cooking implement having a long handle terminating in a deep bowl. Khorsli or Khirsili or Hatha is a kind of big wooden ladle used by the Bodo community. It has a circular concave shaped bowl attached with a handle for getting a sturdy grip. A base is made as platform. It is used for serving rice in large quantity. These kind of wooden items were commonly used by the Bodos and other ethnic communities in Assam prior to the east availability of metal utensils.
