This basket is made up of a thin bamboo strips. It is conical in shape. The body of the conical shell is opened and the end is pointed. The edges of the free side, a handle, in a form of a lean rope are attached. The body of the basket is given distinct figure by striking the bamboo strips one to another. This basket is used for sieving. At the time of preparing wine they used this sieve for separating liquid from the rice. The handle which is attached to the body of the basket is fitted for batter grip in hanging purposes. This kind of similar basket used by many ethnic communities of Assam.
